Memorial Day Celebrations: Let Freedom Ring

Forbes Thought Of The Day

The happiness of this life depends less on what befalls you then the way in which you take it. ”
— Elbert Hubbard
What creates happiness in the current life you lead? How do you create an attitude of gratitude when issues befalls upon you? This quote may have many meaning what is yours?

Today we celebrate Memorial day there are many people who have visited Veteran Cemeteries and Veteran Walls to honor the men and women who have lost their lives protecting, and serving in all arm forces. When I think about how we complain daily there is others grieving honorably for their love ones. Its very difficult to take our eye off of personal issues and choose a day of gratitude and gratefulness. It is our duty to respect what this country stands for which is freedom to go and come as we choose, without restrictions. I realize that some will comment that we are not totally free, and there is some truth in that, however, freedom as a whole exist, and we must continue to fight for it on all levels.

Our Soldiers need our support abroad and at home. Although this is their calling to protect and serve, our roll is to support. The support you provide must be determined by you. For me its through prayer.

Here you see a troop praying for each other it is really all they have. The men and women who have sacrificed their lives to protect and serve this country. Our Veterans.

I'm happy to have a few days off from work and spend time with my family, however, knowing the reason for this day is equally important. It is about understanding the history and sharing it with generations to come. Below is a link on the history of Memorial Day from the Public and Intergovernmental Affairs. Are we saying not to barbecue, picnic and enjoy the beach today absolutely not. Take a moment during your celebrations and reflect on the men and women who have sacrificed their lives so you can enjoy the fruits of their labor today.

Whether you believe in the power of pray our not today is a great day to say an encouraging word for your troops. The one think we can all agree on, is our troops have sacrificed their lives so that we can celebrate freely today. At 3 pm today take a moment of silence to remember our troops and the men and women who have died serving this wonderful country we live in. Happy Memorial Day and may God Bless Your Day
