It really does not cost us much to say kind words. Walking in kindness brings joy and peace to both the giver and receiver. In today's society , kind words like thank you, please, and you are welcome barely exist today. What has created this numbness in our vocabulary? The gentle nature of people has drowned in pride. Pride shadows reasoning.
Pride denotes courage, strength, honor, and loyalty to the cause. What do you see in the
Photo? This is not prideful, a state of mind affecting one's reasoning. A prideful person sees nothing but himself, and here's no one either. Sure, there is time for stern strong words. However, there is a way to express oneself without d e meaning cruel words. Remember word pierce.
Lately in the news, violent outbreak at the Dodgers game. How sad. Loyal fans are proud to take their children to a game.. It appears there are other people taking game loyalty to extreme, taking fun out of the game. Not the proud we are looking for. We must be an example. We can not be the dastardly lion speaking evil nasty words to one another. If we implement this daily challenge, be kind to others joy will follow. Thank you for commenting and sharing your thoughts.

So insightful! I don't think we focus enough on pride. I think sometimes in the quest for confidence in ourselves we can be forget kindness and others. There is a fine balance to be struck between being confident in ourselves so that we may help others and being prideful in our own abilities. Thanks for sharing :)
ReplyDeleteThank you for commenting. You said, "We don't focus enough on pride" I agree, it can create a great losses in our lives. Recognizing when we are prideful is the key.
DeletePride has bring a lot of people to naught. No doubt you will continue to see the humble ones still making waves, nobody want to be with pride people, and i believe that pride is a sin as it will steal your happiness!

I agree it has brought many of us down to naught. I associate pride with plain stubbornness
